World of Water is an impressive aquatic centre. It is huge and sells a massive range of fish items for inside aquariums and outdoor ponds. It's a chain of shops around the UK and this is the first one that I have visited.
There is a large carpark with step-free access to the shop which is all on one level with indoor and outdoor areas.
The pond section has to be the largest that I have ever seen, with some absolutely humungous filters that would surely work for a small lake, let alone a back garden pond. There are also plenty of fish for your pond, many plants, water features, nets, water care products and so much more. The fish looked healthy and their tanks were clean.
For the indoor fish, you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to aquariums and accessories. Although the ornament section was surprisingly bare, there is every type of gravel, rocks, stones and so on available.
And then you come to the fish. The majority are tropical, but there are some marine fish and corals available. There are some plants available too but a fairly small selection. They clearly know what they are doing and some of the display tanks are great, but some of the tanks are downright dirty. It is clear that there has been water leaking at the back of a lot of tanks that have made the background look dirty, but that is outside of the tank, you will see in the video below that some tanks have a lot of algae and fish poop in them. It is a shame as it really lets the whole place down.
There is a small reptile accessory room that has live food, frozen food and vivariums, tortoise tables and substrates. No reptiles were for sale, something that I think is fairly recent as it still says on the website that they sell reptiles and there were some (rather dirty) display cabinets for sale.
And finally, there is a large area dedicated to fishing, with everything you will ever need (I assume, I've never actually been fishing).
World of Water really does have everything that you might need for your fish. The pond fish were well looked after but the aquarium fish desperately need some attention. I would go back though if I was looking for anything fish related.
